It may be mutual if you adore cats but are unable to have one due to an allergy. Cats can cause human allergies, however, it's rare. Because we humans often take regular baths and don't lose as much dead skin or hair as other animals do, the condition is uncommon. Despite this, cats can respond negatively to various perfumes, laundry detergents, and soaps since they are somewhat sensitive to chemicals. Similar to human allergic reactions, cat allergies can cause sneezing, runny noses, rashes, hives, and other painful symptoms. Cats can occasionally even develop allergies to dogs. Perhaps this is the reason some of them don't get along.

However, our cat friends are more likely to experience year-round issues with fleas and dust mites as well as the same seasonal allergies as us, particularly those caused by grass and pollen. Up to 30% of people with allergies are allergic to either dogs or cats, with allergies to cats being twice as common as those to their canine counterparts. The good news is that there are some hypoallergenic breeds of cats that are less likely to cause you to sneeze, even though ailurophiles (cat lovers) may think it's a destiny worse than death.
